TinyLab won Dr Hajatdoost the best
industrial product award at the recent British Invention Show in London.And the device is now attracting interest worldwide.
Dr Hajatdoost is working with the Assembly's export arm Wales Trade International to bring his product before an international audience.Dr Hajatdoost
has a background in academia and industry and has worked for a number of blue chip companies as laboratory manager and chief chemist.
He said, "On-site testing saves time and enhances safety as there is no need to transport hazardous chemicals. It is also simple to use
and very accurate."Instead of taking a sample to the lab, we can now take a lab to the sample."This innovation has resonance for a broad
range of industries worldwide, including the water industry, environmental testing and various manufacturing industries."It also has a
domestic appli-cation and can be used for testing the water quality in swimming pools and aquariums, as well as being a useful educational
tool in schools and colleges."With the support of WTI, a number of seminars have been set up with key players in a variety of industries."
